Hockey Committee President
Ian served four years in the United States Army. While he was in the service he was a part of Honor Guard and learned the true value of discipline. Upon getting out of the military he started going to school for criminal justice and working full time at a Michigan financial firm. Hockey has been a large part of his life along with his family. - Go Wings and Kraken!
Currently he holds a sales position at a fortune 1,000 company. He has substantial experience with other Veteran organizations including supporting fund raising, event management, travel coordination for large teams, budgeting, and has served as a board member.
His hope for Heroes’ Movement Hockey is to provide a sense of purpose for Veterans for whom this may have been lost after separating from the military.
Hockey Committee Vice-President
Evan played professional hockey for 9 years and to this day holds numerous records for the Toledo Walleye Hockey Club. Before playing professionally, he was a Notre Dame Graduate in Accountancy, and played for Notre Dames’ National Championship Hockey Finalist team in 2008. Currently Evan resides in Toledo, OH with his expecting wife Jenna and their two-year-old son Nash. He has owned multiple successful businesses, and is still heavily involved in charitable work in his community. He now works in the medical field for a Vascular Trauma company and services his local community for extremely life threatening conditions in the surgical field. Toledo, OH has an Evan Rankin Day every year on Jan. 24th.
Hockey Committee Secretary
Joe is an Army Veteran and graduate of the University of Michigan. Hockey has been a big part of his life for several years, yielding great benefits in his physical and mental health. Heroes’ Movement has helped him work through injuries and improve strength and flexibility. With many years in Detroit’s tech scene as a mobile software engineer, Joe is passionate about giving back and building community, especially with fellow Veterans.

After serving 4 1/2 years in the Navy, he began a career in strength and conditioning. Mike strongly believes that a healthy body promotes a healthy mind. He oversees the training programs and develops relationships with gyms seeking to partner with Heroes’ Movement.

Steven is the proud father of an Army Infantry Veteran and has 30-plus years of volunteer work with the City of Wayne, Michigan. Additionally, he has worked thirty years in sales in the technology industry and is currently employed as a Security/Police Lieutenant. Steven is proud to be associated with Heroes' Movement Hockey and its goals of healthy family living and team member camaraderie that so many miss after leaving their military careers.
2 Year Trustee
Jennifer graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Recreation. She also received an Associates Degree in General Business from Northern Michigan University, where she and her hockey loving husband attended right after high school. -Go Wildcats!
Currently she holds her PHR and works as the Director of Recruiting for a Michigan financial firm; She has over 10 years experience in Human Resources and Event Planning.
Growing up with a father who served in law enforcement and a brother who served in the Army she learned to appreciate the sacrifice it takes to live with the freedoms we all share. Family has always been important to her and is even more so now, as she and her husband raise their two young daughters.
She is excited to be a part of Heroes' Movement Hockey and participate in building a community where military families can ban together around the great sport of hockey.
1 Year Trustee
Anthony DeGiusti is the proud father of an Army Veteran. His son served for six years as a Combat Engineer and was stationed in several bases across the U.S. and twice in Korea. He and his family have a long history of involvement in hockey. Both of his sons played through Juniors and he himself still plays in a league he calls the “too old to play hockey league.” Along the way Anthony coached for 14 years and was involved with Mites all the way through three seasons of Junior A. Professionally, Anthony has been a law enforcement officer for 33 years and currently serves as the Chief of Police of a suburban police department.

Adam is an entrepreneur who founded, owns and operates AK Lawn Care, Inc., based in Milan, Michigan since 2000, adding a second location in Warren, in 2017. He also formed, owns, and operates Adam Scott Properties & Management since 2012. Adam is thrilled and honored to be able to contribute to Heroes’ Movement's amazing mission.
